Dr. Mark Winchell
Dr. Winchell is a professor of English at Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. He holds a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University and specializes in American literature, Southern literature, 20th-century literary criticism and literary biography. He is a noted scholar of M.E. Bradford and of the Nashville Agrarians, particularly Fugitive poet Donald Davidson, and he has written biographies of both Davidson and Cleanth Brooks. His latest book, Confessions of a Copperhead, will be out in 2004.
