Dr. Don Livingston

Dr. Livingston is a professor of philosophy at Emory University in Atlanta, and a world renowned scholar of Scottish Enlightenment philosopher, David Hume. He is author of Philosophical Melancholy and Delirium, and Hume's Philosophy of Common Life. Hs is co-editor of Hume as Philosopher of Society, Politics, and History, and Hume, A Re-evaluation: Liberty in Hume's History of England.
Dr. Livingston is currently working on a book on the philosophical, legal and moral meaning of secession. He is on the editorial board of Hume Studies, and was a National Endowment for the Humanities Fellow, 1978-79.
